When Greece became a den of madness inhabited by swarms of monsters and abominations, the Fates decreed that Zeus should sire a hero to bring about change. Thus Heracles was born, and he purged the Earth of many of its most vicious and evil beasts. Oh, and he cleaned a stable.

When the Jews became idolatrous and hedonistic, Yahweh decided to imbue one of his Judges with tremendous strength, which he used to almost single-handedly destroy the Phillistines.

When the Angles were plagued with villains and general anarchy, Beowulf destroyed the Grendels and restored order.

And then there's me.

Before you think me an idiot, there's something I want you to consider before I tell you about me: does a fish know it's wet?

Now, where was I?

I suppose it was obvious to anyone else. My mother talked all the time about my "special destiny" and my "warrior blood". I wasn't allowed to eat red meat and had to keep my hair in a pony tail. But I just chalked that up to my mom being a crazy hippie. She is, after all.

I wasn't great at sports. Truth is, I never really tried sports. I played saxophone and sang and shit. Well, I had one of those crisis moments when the band bus flipped and I flipped it back. I came home to my mom sitting on the carpet around some lit candles saying it was "time to discover my true origin".

Turns out less than a month before I was conceived some fortune teller stopped her at a bakery and told her that she would get pregnant with me, and that I would be a Judge, an inheritor of great strength for the purpose of bringing about new endings and beginnings. Mom then gave me a mothball-smelling lion pelt and a knotted old club that had been in the attic for decades, and sewed me a soldier-like costume that didn't match either. Then she sent me to military school. My patchouli-scented mom. To military school.

So I've got some skills now, and I fight crime. Because that's what people with skills and powers do. What this great change is I'm supposed to bring about? I have no idea.

Nice story, short but manages to sum up the basis of the character, as well as amuse. There's probably be some talk about how it ties to the card and what the card means, etc, but I'll leave that for those more experienced. I can see the inner calling, restart (endings and beginnings) in there.

I like it.

Sorry for the lack of replies. Our super group seems to be going through a lull, due to both the new nature of the game, flux in our group, and the events of Blood Moon. Once things are sorted out, I'm sure more people will resond and you'll hear from one of the officers.

The name of the girl you're looking at was going to be Hannah Chase. I use that terminology because of the fact that she was born with no signs of life other than fleeting breaths that couldn't keep her alive without the aid of life support technology. Hannah was born flawlessly. No birth defects and a perfectly functional brain but merely nothing there and unable to consciously control her own body. As such was going to be unable to ever live her life.

A fate Destiny had no intention of granting.

Hannah's birth was affected by the sadistic menace of Drahcir. A shamanistic hermit who had spent his life within the German Black Forest. A twisted man with his own tragic past who was ill at ease with the gentle soul resting in the womb of a young female tourist. A soul with so much light to bring to the world it dampened his abilities for kilometres around it. Preventing him from accessing his higher magics and by extension revealing his location to those hunting him.

Using his occult abilities he ripped the soul from Hannah's unborn body as well as her mother's and devoured them there and then. Placing Gabrielle, Hannah's mother, into a coma and placing both at risk of death.

After being rushed to the local infirmary by locals, Gabrielle died shortly after giving birth to Hannah.

Drahcir got away free from any retribution from the local authorities, super-powered vigilantes included, and Destiny was angry. So enraged she called on a recently released ancient power known as the Arcana of Judgement to enter the body of Hannah.

Destiny's intention was clear. To create a modern avatar of celestial balance and send a message to our tumultuous world. Mortals shall not interfere in the plans of the higher planes. And none would go unpunished for crimes unto those undeserving.

Now due to the power imbued by the Arcana, Hannah's body has been rapidly aged to 20 years old and bestowed with the power of ever-fair light. Bringing harm to those judged unworthy and health to those deemed paragon's of the future balance to come...
